Huge news today that the United States Supreme Court has paved the way for the release of Donald J. Trump’s taxes to the Manhattan District Attorneys’ Office. With word that Donnie Dangerous and his taxes are no longer protected, the Twittersphere exploded; the best we’ve seen is from @Aaron Parnas.
Sunlight-Reports.com previously covered how the addition of Mark Pomerantz — a former nemesis of New York City Mafia Capo John Gotti Jr — to the Manhattan DA’s team, perhaps elicits shades of Eliot Ness and Al Capone.
Capone famously went down for tax evasion.
As for Trump, with this huge tax news out, we decided to undertake a video analysis.
“If I decide to run for office, I’ll produce my tax returns, absolutely.”
Buzzfeed collected a number of quotes related to Donnie Dangerous and his taxes. The quotes provide interesting insight into Trump’s credibility. The first 30 or so seconds of this clip captures a classic Trump Doozy.
“Serrano’s Got The Disks!”
With Trump’s taxes on the way, we are reminded of a classic scene from Midnight Run. In the scene, Jack Walsh (Robert DeNiro) is wired up and plans to let the feds know when mobster Jimmy Serrano (Dennis Farina) is in possession of incriminating disks. The wire goes dead. Walsh needs to improvise, but he makes it happen. . .
“I Just Want to Tell You All Good Luck.”
A scene from the iconic movie Airplane immediately comes to mind. It involves an emergency plane landing. Is Trump perhaps feeling something like this pilot?
“How Do You like ‘Dem Apples.”
Trump has pulled out all the stops an entitled Ivy League kid would deploy to avoid trouble. Delays, appeals, delays, appeals, more delays, more appeals; relying on his connections and money to avoid tax accountability. It reminds of a timeless scene in Good Will Hunting right outside The Bow & Arrow Pub in Harvard Square. The bar is no longer, which is a damn shame, it has an extra warm place in the cockles of our heart, way down in the sub-cockles.
Well, Will Hunting (Matt Damon) had a dust-up involving a girl named Skyler (Minnie Driver) while in the bar. Fun fact, Damon actually dated a woman named Skylar when he was at Harvard. So, Will is leaving “The Bow” with his buddies, and notices the Harvard Kid in Baskin-Robbins next door.
Will turns back and sends a little message to the dude, an Ivy Leaguer, just like Trump . . .
#Losing
The former President talks “#Winning” all the time, yet he’s been doing an awful lot of “#Losing”. Indeed, recent developments, including today’s tax news, speak much more to failure, than to success. The former President’s recent results are perhaps generally reflected in this amazing video by the guys @TheProtestFilms. Watch this one people, watch all of it.
It. Is. Brilliant.
The United Supreme Court has spoken. Donnie Dangerous and his taxes are on the way to the Grand Jury. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Perhaps the former President feels like the Biker Gang who made the ill-fated choice to enter a bar in A Bronx Tale. . . .
Roll credits. . .
