Well, I don’t believe this has been covered, it *was* filed pro se, but it is something. A guy in Brooklyn sued Donald J. Trump, Trump Organization, Rudolph Giuliani and Deutsche Bank in New York State Supreme Court. He filed his lawsuit on January 21, 2021. The $8 billion lawsuit pleads a few, well, colorful causes of action: “Suffragio Tort”, “Innominate Tort”, as well as “Conspiracy”. The Complaint is premised on the delay in presidential certification and the attack on the Capitol. The lawsuit popped on our radar with a recent filing which says a lawyer has surfaced for Rudy Giuliani – Joe Sibley, based out of Houston Texas.

Sibley’s name is perhaps familiar. He represents Giuliani in the lawsuit relying on anti-KKK legislation for claims against Giuliani and Trump related to the January 6 riot.

Deustche Bank Responds

As for the Complaint, Deutsche Bank filed to throw the suit out in mid-February.

The primary allegations against the bank. . .

$8 Billion Lawsuit. Deustche Bank allegations.

Deutsche Bank says the plaintiff lacks standing, the causes of action are bunk, and no harm was suffered because the election was certified and mere delay is not enough.

The standing argument is the bank’s leading salvo: “Plaintiff’s claims all fail because he lacks standing to assert them. He asserts nothing other than generalized grievances that could be asserted by the public at large, and longstanding jurisprudence in this country holds that in such instances, a plaintiff does not have standing to assert a claim.

Trump, Trump Org & Giuliani

While Rudy, Trump and the Trump Organization are still on the sidelines, the Plaintiff has already filed approximately 30 documents in pursuit of his claims. A flavor of the Complaint’s allegations against the trio. . .

The Anti-Kraken or The Powerball

An $8 billion lawsuit perhaps sounds something out of the Legal Team Kraken Playbook. Perhaps the Plaintiff is a “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander” type of guy. And, hey, perhaps he believes this is better than playing The Power Ball.

Whatever the case may be, another lawsuit for Rudy, more legal fees, more fallout from his foolishness.

Sooner or later, we all sit down to a banquet of consequences.
