Mike Pence should be executed. Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, John Roberts, is involved in a child-sex cult. Such were the suggestions of lawyer L. Lin Wood. Wood is now back in the news. He has filed a lawsuit against individuals on the State Bar of Georgia Bar based on the bar’s request that he take a mental health exam to maintain his law license. The Atlanta attorney previewed the lawsuit and apparently warned, “The Hunted Becomes the Hunter.”
The Presidential Election
Wood, of course, was at the forefront of the Big Lie. He appears in this video along with Rudy Giuliani, and Rudy’s former counsel John M. Pierce. In February, Kyle Rittenhouse personally fired Pierce. Sound up.
The Lawsuit
In his lawsuit, Wood argues that asking him to take a mental health exam violates his free speech rights. He says the Georgia bar has not presented evidence of “mental illness, cognitive impairment, alcohol abuse, or substance abuse to the extent of impairing competency.” According to Wood, the bar cannot call for a mental health exam without one of these factors.
The Atlanta attorney also claims his rhetoric consists of “political, rhetorical hyperbole and are thus protected speech.” This is perhaps a step up from Sidney Powell’s defense to the Dominion Voting Systems billion lawsuit. More on Powell at “The Kraken Meets The Grift.“
Disciplinary Issues
Wood is also on the receiving end of a 1,600-page bar complaint from the Georgia disciplinary board. Of course, he is not the only attorney in the video above facing potential disciplinary issues. More than one group has called for Rudy Giuliani to be investigated for potential disbarment. In addition, according to Mother Jones, a woman reported Pierce to the California State Bar for alleged witness intimidation in the Rittenhouse case.
“The Hunted Becomes The Hunter”
Wood’s lawsuit has been met with skepticism. The fact of the matter is much of the “Big Lie” has turned into a “Big Mess”. And, as a result, Wood and others appear to be the hunted on several fronts. For example, the Georgia secretary of state’s office is reportedly investigating Wood for potential illegal voting in the November election. Moreover, Giuliani reportedly may face “false statement” charges in Georgia. And, of course, Donald Trump has a seeming ever-growing mountain of legal issues.
“Corruption” And “Legal Consequences”
In an interesting twist, Rudy Giuliani recently opined on “corruption” and “legal consequences.” Given the issues for Rudy himself, as well as those on his side of the ledger, this appears a “Little Glass Houses for Rudy Giuliani” situation.
Pierce is Giuliani’s close friend. Lin Wood was on a Board with Pierce. All three attorneys are under fire.
It is all worth keeping an eye on.
